WordPress stripping HTML – can it stop please??

Im trying to get wordpress 2.0 to display simple flash.. (so i can install simpleviewer flash photogallery). But everytime I post any code… it strips the tags! rendering it useless. ive tried the Kimili plugin (https://www.kimili.com/journal/39/kimili-flash-embed—wordpress-take-3) , but it doesnt seem to work with WP 2.0. Please can anyone help? Why oh why, did this feature get built in.. and why oh why cant it be easily removed?? ive tried textcontrol plugin to remove the stripping… but nothing seems to work. basically i have not seen any flash at all in WP 2.0 yet! why cant it be easy… ??
