WordPress sundirectory to root migration

Hello there wordpress world!
I am migrating my wordpress site from https://www.mydomain.com/wordpress to https://www.mydomain.com and i followed the steps given at
https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_Within_Your_Site
But the following error occured:Warning: require(/home/u765455173/public_html/wp-includes/date.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/u765455173/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 117 Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/u765455173/public_html/wp-includes/date.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php’) in /home/u765455173/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 117
