WordPress update issue with Theme I purchased

  • Hi,

    I bought a theme approx 1 year ago and a WordPress update has caused parts of the theme to not work properly. Its not a plugin issue as I don’t have any installed.

    I have had to roll back to WordPress v 4.1.5 for the theme to function properly. My question is can I secure the site enough without making any updates? I follow the Hardening WordPress documentation and I run the site behind CloudFlare.
