WordPress updates

When wordpress is install than it will default select theme. so any latest post will be see on page.
you need to your theme or you can create page like home page and go to settings -> reading->Your home page display than select home page that you create.

But i want it to work like previous time,before updating. I have all my files with my codes,how can i choose them? instead of creating new theme on WordPress. Because i don’t understand WordPress at all. I made the website and host it thru register.it from which i placed my files and folder in /www folder

When you update wordpress than it will also update index.php file that why your code is deleted from index.php file.
if you take backup than check backup files and get code.
but if you want to work in wordpress you need to understand wordpress working process.
First you need to create child theme from parent theme

I didn’t install WordPress by myself,I just hosted website through Register.it The support of Register.it has resolved the issue by making my website as default and removed application to avoid any further confusion with updates,because as you told my website didn’t build with WordPress and this is confusing me.
