  • Yes, Conditional CAPTCHA is an essential plugin for me and no longer seems to work after upgrading to WordPress 5.5!

    My Spam and Trash folders are now flooded with spam… It’s not catching anything any more.

    Would you please be so kind as to update this super-helpful plugin for WP 5.5? Thanks so much!

    Update: I got tired of wading through so many SPAM comments. I really missed this plugin!

    So I decided to see if I could figure out what went wrong in WordPress 5.5 and fix the plugin…

    And, success! Here is the fix:

    It’s a very simple one-line tweak. The plugin broke because of a questionable change the WP team made.

    So happy now. Conditional CAPTCHA now works perfectly again, and filters out all the garbage from ever being seen. Whew!
