WordPress Version? 2.8 shows up as abc

  • I installed 2.8 this morning, it’s great.
    I’m wondering why when I do the <?php bloginfo('version'); ?> it shows up as “abc” not “2.8”

  • I’ve had this issue for awhile, I first noticed it in the 2.0 Version.

    I am also facing this issue with my client’s side. Any fix?

    If you are using WordPress Security Scan Plugin, disabling it will restore the actual version number.
