WordPress video player

Has anyone modified the WordPress video player source, to make it work on simple mode (not using the video framework, but simply using it to refer to local video files), and removed the WordPress branding, to make it more generic?

If so, please post. I would love to get a hold of it (as I do like the simple interface it sports).
