WordPress visual editor not working as before the update to WP 4.9.

    I have been experiencing serious problems with visual editor.
    Buttons suddenly went inactive after update to WP 4.9.
    Am also unable to add media files to blog post.
    The editor is also unable to record word count,keeping it at zero.
    After either publishing or saving draft post, results in a blank post.
    I can’t add any links also since the link button is inactive together with the other buttons.
    What’s the problem??

    Just realized the problem wasn’t as a result of the update, but some kind of interference from the thirsty affiliates plug-in. I have disabled it, deleted it and everything is back to normal.

    I’m having the same issue. My visual editor button, add media, and add links buttons won’t work. How is this solved? Which plug in is it? I went through all my plug-ins, deactivated them and it’s still now working. ??
