Ok this must sound ridiculous, but I have installed WordPress on my Mac.
I have installed MAMP on my Mac so I can run WordPress locally.

I have followed the instructions to the letter.
As far as I know, everything is where it is supposed to be.

Thing is, where the heck is the actual WordPress application interface?
    Where do I launch it?
How can I use it if I dont know where it is?

Also, providing I finally find WordPress and build a site locally, how do I move it to my remote server.

Everyone keeps saying how great www.ads-software.com is, but so far I cant even see it.

    Please help.

    Thanks.

Where did you place the files within your root http folder?

In my Sites folder within my Users folder on my main hard drive.
    Why?
Is that where the WordPress interface is?

You would access it through your browser by visiting https://localhost/wordpress (or whatever directory you have installed it into.)

As far as moving a site is concerned, there are tutorials on the internet, or codex entries.

The file you need to edit with your connection information, such as username, password, etc. is called wp-config.php. When you originally install, you may only have a wp-config-sample.php which you need to copy, rename and edit.

    Which guide are you following?

Do you see anything if you go to

    https://localhost/

    or

    https://localhost/~_username_

replacing _username_ with whatever the user name for your Mac is?

Here is where my stuff is:

and here is what my wp-config looks like:

Ok so I got as far as seeing my new blog page.

I read a post on the MAMP site explaining how to start up the page.

So Im looking at the page and I see no way to edit it.

    How do I do that?

(You guys must think Im a moron. I really am not)

You found the WordPress page? (as in the install screen) or are you looking at something else now? (Can you post another screen shot of what you are looking at?)

Uhh can someone tell me how to add my Twitter page as a page on my WP blog and people can still be on my blog while viewing my twitter page?

@levimira: Don’t highjack another poster’s thread! Post a new topic.

Im looking at a simplistic looking WordPress page that says WordPress Training.
I see no way to modify it.
Where is the dashboard or control panel for this thing?

    batrachoid

    (@batrachoid)

It says “WordPress Training?” Does it say anything else? Can you post another screenshot?
