I installed a WordPress widget called “Arbitrary text and HTML” onto the footer of my newsmagazine https://www.buellreview.com and the widget is called “BlogRoll” and only one name listed “www.newsninja2012.com. I want to either eliminate or alter this widget, and add to it in the text box, but I can’t find it and I did disable all my JetPack plugins, so it isn’t one of those! How do I get to where this widget is?

In Appearance > Widgets, you’re looking for footer Widgets on the right hand side. You may need to expand the Footer Widgets dropdown. Do you see it there?

That whole side of my page is gone! Once my site went “live, this disappeared! How do I get that back?

And no, sorry I don’t see it there! That area is nothing but blank space and even scrolling over it with my cursor reveals nothing!!!!

I see nothing wrong with the frontend of your site. Are you talking about WP-Admin Dashboard? If so, maybe post a screenshot.

Oh Lord, would I have to dump and reload the WordPress .org 3.5.1 again and start over? I assumed that maybe because my website went live, that is was customary for this to vanish, but it sounds like that is not the case! GRRR! Now that you bring this up hiphopinenglish, that has been the source of my problems if this is still supposed to be present!

Yes, I’m talking about my dashboard!!! The widget I’m trying to access is the one in the bottom right hand corner in the footer marked “BlogRoll” with “newsninja2012.com in it!

OK, and the Widget page of your dashboard is not loading properly?

Let me catch a screen shot. It may take me a minute since I’m really new at this! Lol!

That particular widget on my dashboard isn’t loading at all for me to edit or delete! That’s why I went back to wp-options in Php My Admin through my server to see if I could find it there and nothing! I held and reset all my plugins from Jetpack to reboot, but this isn’t obviously one of those!

This may be the problem and solution

The whole right hand side where I could drop and drag widgets went blank once my website went “live” and I’ve been having problems ever since. I thought it might be normal for this to disappear once my site went “hot”, but if that is NOT the case, I have a big problem!!

You’re definitely looking in Appearance > Widgets for the Widget, and not the Jetpack options?

I’ll go there and see what happens! How would I post a screen shot of my dashboard here/

On Windows, Ctrl + Print Screen. paste to MS Paint, and use an image-hosting service to upload, and paste link here.

Yes! I do know the difference between those because I disabled my JetPack plugins and reset them and it had no effect on the other widgets at all.
