    I installed a WordPress widget called “Arbitrary text and HTML” onto the footer of my newsmagazine https://www.buellreview.com and the widget is called “BlogRoll” and only one name listed “www.newsninja2012.com. I want to either eliminate or alter this widget, and add to it in the text box, but I can’t find it and I did disable all my JetPack plugins, so it isn’t one of those! How do I get to where this widget is?

    While you do what you can, I’m going to get some dinner and I’ll be back in about an hour or so ok? I’d really like to save my work in Theme Alley!

    And KEEP Theme Alley!

    after the installation, don’t install any plugins or change anything via phpmyadmin

    Ok. I have theme alley installed in wordpress, all versions included in the package and Destro.Pro up. I haven’t installed any plugins or anything else.

    Now can I transfer all my work to this set, remove the first copy of wordpress when I’m done and change the URL back to what I had and get rid of testing 1234?

    Ok, so am I re writing my entire site on this new install of wordpress or can I save anything from the original? Do I need to backup my old one or just get rid of it?

    do not transfer anything, simply activate destro pro and see if you see the sidebar in the widgets section.

    Please post the screenshot of the widgets page or else its simply your claim that there is some problem.

    It would appear that THEME ALLEY has some serious problems! I don’t know why the sidebar doesn’t work but it’s only with this theme that I’m having problems!

    Where did you download this theme from? When was it last updated? Have you contacted the theme’s developer about the issue?

    @esmi
    I am the developer, he is using a pro/paid version.
    I went to the test install and its showing non default widgets. If widget area is not working in widgets section, how can he drop new widgets there.

    The widget area was available and working fine last night when all plugins were deactivated and the 2012 theme was used. Unfortunately, I had to log off before the OP had switched all plugins & theme back on again. I already suspected that this wasn’t just a simply “one bad plugin” issue but something a bit more complex. Best guess – there’s a conflict between the theme and one or more plugins. A second (but less likely) scenario is that there something in the server’s environment that is contributing to the problem.

    Checking the site’s error logs (if possible) might help to clarify the situation.

    @mrbenz7: can you access to site’s error logs? Or ask your hosts for assistance in locating theme?

    If you go to https://www.buellreview.com/ you can see the sidebar and footer is populated with widgets.

    Ok, I’m back. Yes on my website the footer is populated with widgets, but they are widgets I can no longer access since my main sidebar section of my dashboard dropped out. Look, I’m taking a copy of my screen in Twenty Twelve and in Theme Alley.
