WordPress Wiki Fatal Error, Whacked Privileges

    Been trying to set up WP-wiki on a self-hosted blog with WP 2.8.3 (or .2, same problem for both). When using the Wiki Editor role, posts that are not set up as wikis can be seen and edited (like Admin privileges). Pages appear to have the correct access privileges, but the ones that are set up as wikis return an error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: array_fill_keys() in /homepages/XX/XXXXXXXXXX/htdocs/wikiRFM/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-wiki/wordpress-wiki.php on line 833

    I’ve deactivated and removed all other plugins to try to trouble shoot, and that didn’t have an effect. Help?

  • Hmm… maybe try Role Manager plugin instead of the wiki privileges and see if any errors come up?

    What it is saying is that there is a missing function on that line to execute that array function.

    Have you gone to the plugin developer for the plugin?

    Role manager was helpful…the default settings for the Wiki Editor were too permissive (there were many more capabilities allowed than just read and edit wiki). So that is fixed. Thanks blondishnet.

    Still getting the Fatal Error. This is after deactivating, deleting, and getting the plugin from the plugin site (it’s not on the developer’s site).

    Could it be a 2.8 compatibility issue? Any easy way to roll-back to 2.7 or other workarounds? The wiki feature is essential for me.

    Okay, bringing it back to 2.7.1 didn’t fix this problem. I guess I’ll try some other things now. Sure is quiet here.

    Turns out it was simply the PHP version my host was running. Upgrading to PHP 5.x solved the second problem, and monkeying with Roles in Role manager solved the first. Since it seems to be working now, you can see my WordPress Wiki here. Thanks WP Support!

    Can you specify the adjustments you made to the roles?

    created a new profile and set it as the default. allowed upload files, edit wiki, and read privileges. Try it out…see if it works and make an edit to the bug reporting page. i’m still trying to get friends to test it out.

    Where can I get role manager for WP 2.7 and up? The RM version I have (2.2.3) just causes my plugins page to go blank in WP 2.7…

    BTW, you REALLY need to upgrade to the most current version of WordPress if you have not already.
