• I need help figuring how to move forward with my site. My web designer/editor is nowhere to be found and i want to make changes to its overall look. Here is the site https://www.closetacticalcombat.com. The site is using wordpress Theme Twenty Ten but with its own design.

Is there a way for me to figure out which portion/section of the site was custom made? In other words, did the web/designer use wordpress and made the changes internally to its coding to result in its current form or did he use a template/coding and then integrated wordpress?

  • well it looks like the designer made quite a few changes and adopted the theme and made it theirs…

    its no longer really 2010

Some people use child themes to modify a theme so that the original theme can be updated

Your developer used the core files and modified them then renamed the theme.

Either way is fine however your best approach from here on in is to take his theme and make it yours by renaming the theme in the top section of the style.css file and then make your modifications.

you can also download 2010 if you want and look for things he may have changed but like i said … its a new theme now

    Thanks for quick Reply.

Not sure i follow “take his theme and make it yours by renaming the theme in the top section of the style.css file and then make your modifications”

Where do i rename the file? do i use this:
    https://awesomescreenshot.com/081252rceb
    Or this:
    https://awesomescreenshot.com/00d252rnd9

Because according to the above screenshot, there are 3 files with style.css.

    I appreciate your help.
