WordPress with SQL Express

  • I am searching for details of using wordpress on a local install with sql express to create an Intranet site.
    any docs I have found are for old versions of WordPress.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Did you actually follow those docs and run into issues? Or did you just ASS-U-ME that because they’re for old WordPress versions they wouldn’t work with the latest version of WordPress?

    In any case, the easiest way to get WordPress running on Windows with SQL Express is probably via Web Platform Installer: https://www.microsoft.com/web/downloads/platform.aspx

    Try platform installer (or follow your “old” docs) and post back any issues you may have so we can troubleshoot together.
