I have a bad review for a certain plugin.

Due to subsequent changes, I want to now change it to a five-star rating with a good review.

Unfortunately, when I try to change my review, WordPress tells me,

    “Sorry, post is too old.”

How can I update my review and rating for that plugin?

Thanks, Jan, but you’re right: I’m stuck in the same situation.

I notice something, though; when I go to edit the review, someone else has put something into the comments box. What is that all about?

Dunno. The reviews are “special” and aren’t like other topics and posts. I don’t fully get it myself. ??

I am trying to review: https://www.ads-software.com/support/view/plugin-reviews/wordpress-post-tabs

I really want to review them because they have some bad reviews and they have been AMAZING!! They have spent the last 5 days making their plugin work perfectly and customizing it for me. It sucks not to be able to review them Given their level of support and the fact their plugin (their pro version – which cost me $9 which was the best $9 I ever spent) does things none of the other currently do. It makes my content a million times better and when something is that good you want to be able to review it so others will know and can have the same thing

ps this is the page it takes me to every time I hit “edit post” after I type my review.

@happyecho: Your post got marked as spam and deleted. I’ve unspammed your review and corrected the issue.

@paddy-landau: Your review was also deleted, which is why you could not edit it. I’ve undeleted it now. We don’t delete reviews and let you edit them afterwards, you only get one review on any given plugin. If it’s deleted, then it’s deleted and you cannot review it again.

You can indeed edit your review here:

@paddy-landau: I found an issue where older plugin reviews would give the post-is-too-old message, because part of the theme-reviews code had not been copied properly into the plugin reviews code. I would not have seen this message myself because of my Admin rights here. When I tried it with a non-admin user, I was able to reproduce the problem.

The code has been corrected, and plugin-reviews can now be edited properly by anybody, same as themes.
