WordPress/Woocommerce backorders automatically hold instead of “processing”

Hello, we are trying to launch backordering on our site but allowing for backorders and “notifying” customer. When testing I am running into an issue where the backorder hits the gateway as “processing” when I need it to be on “hold” so that the customer is only charged when we “process/ship” the actual order out. Anyway to set it up on the woocommerce/wordpress end where backordered orders automatically pop as “hold” status?
