  • I typically get that when a page I am trying to access no longer exists.

Looking at your link though it all seems to be working to me. So either you have fixed it yourself or perhaps you need to clear you browser cache.

Thank you for trying to help me.
The link is working normally, I can see my information, but I am not able to log in into the Site Admin. It does not recognize my password. Then I ask to reset it. Get the link, then password, login and get the same black page with the words You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page. I did it several times. Cleared my cache and deleted all wordpress cookies. Same thing happened again. Thank you. Sorry to bother you with this, but don’t know what else to try.

By the way, the page shows that I am logged in. Yesterday it was “Log In”, but now I noticed that it says “Log out”. But when I click on Site Admin link – same note “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”. Thank you.

Have you tried a different browser (IE/Chrome/Safari/Firefox) just to rule out some hard to remove cache issue?

You haven’t installed any security hardening plugins have you?

Just tried Internet Explorer. Previously Firefox. Same thing.
Would you kindly try? redoctober TJdp2QsrDf0f
Thank you and sorry for this.

No, I did not install any special security plugins. I have malwarebytes but it did not react in any way (usually it pops up if something is amiss).

Might be worth renaming your plugins directory – to deactivate all of them – then change it back again. You will need to manually activate all later.

Also, it might be worth switching to a default theme such as twentyfourteen. I think if you remove all others then WP uses twentyfourteen by default.

This will rule out all plugins and customer themes causing trouble.

    Thank you!

Have you installed WordPress twice under the same domain?
POSSIBLY. I WAS GOING TO MIGRATE BUT DID NOT FINISH IT.

Have you tried different usernames to log in with?
NO, IT WAS ALWAYS THE SAME USERNAME.

You may have to troubleshoot this at the wp-config.php level on the file system.
WELL, I AM NOT SURE HOW TO DO IT, BUT I WILL TRY TO READ ABOUT IT.

Last question: if I were to migrate the information, where are the files? Their location? Sorry to ask such primitive questions. Are they on morezmore domain file system somewhere? Thank you again
