I noticed that Jetpack and WordPress.com were not communicating on my site campwillowcreek.com.

I have disabled all the plug-ins. I have switched over to twenty-twelve theme. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Jetpack. I continue to get the following error:

Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible

Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 404]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: https://jetpack.me/support/

I am able to browse https://campwillowcreek.com/xmlrpc.php and I have contacted my hosting provider who reports “There aren’t any blocks against WordPress.com on our server, your site is publicly accessible.”

I think this issue might be affecting my other sites hosted on the same server because when I browse wordpress.com/sites all my sites show a warning icon and a message that they are disconnected. Although I have not gone through all the troubleshooting steps with the other sites.

The problem was server-side – not with Jetpack or WordPress.

Can you elaborate more on what server side issue was causing your problem? Was your WordPress.com account able to access your site?

I’m having an issue using the Publicize feature, the connect button for any social media platform returns a 404 page – no Jetpack error messages or anything.
