• Hi there,

First of all, I love this theme, it’s beautiful!

I’m trying to improve navigation on my site and hope you could help! (it’s a wordpress.com site)

    1. Within the categories (and all posts page) display blog post snippets/summaries instead of the entire blog post

    2. Set a featured image without it appearing in the top corner…I want to set the featured image so that it appears when i share posts on social, also when my top posts/pages are listed the featured image is the one people see.

I realize this support is for wp.org, but would this be possible in wp.com too?

    Thanks!

I upgrade to premium plan (with css editing) would I be able to edit this/apply the codes you’ve previously suggested in other threads? Thanks!

In theory the custom CSS tweaks provided here should apply to WordPress.com sites as well.

    1. Within the categories (and all posts page) display blog post snippets/summaries instead of the entire blog post

You can use the More tag for the blog page:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

On category and other archive pages it won’t be possible to display excerpts, since that’s something that would require a PHP tweak in a child theme, something you can only do on a self-hosted site.

    2. Set a featured image without it appearing in the top corner…I want to set the featured image so that it appears when i share posts on social, also when my top posts/pages are listed the featured image is the one people see.

You can hide the featured image on your site with some custom CSS. If you decide to upgrade your site and need help with that, please post over in the CSS Customization forum at WordPress.com and folks would be glad to help:
