    Hi!
I’ve made my own theme and want to use it on my wordpress.com blog but I can’t find any option for uploading your own theme. Is this possible or do I have to host the blog myself?

  • Hmmm I beleive this is possible. I use wordpress on my own domain, and this is fairly easy to do. You need to have an FTP program and upload the theme folder into your “wp-content/themes” folder, assuming that you have one (since you are hosting on the actual www.ads-software.com domain). Once (and if) you get the template folder uploaded into that directory properly, it is just a matter of logging into your admin area, and then activating the theme (by clicking “activate”).

If you have your own domain you can install new themes.

Otherwise there are types of things you can do at wordpress.COM but it’s better to direct that question to https://support.wordpress.com/contact/

Ok, thanks for the replies. mattb348, the problem there is that I do not have ftp access to the wordpress server except through the admin-panel. There I can only choose one of the templates wordpress offers. I will try contact the support for this one, I think. Thank you very much!

buy a web hosting and a domain name, start your own site. just like my blog: https://www.maggogo.com
