WordPress.com import problem

  • I am attempting to import my wordpress.com blog into my new hosted install but am having no luck. the export file is 2.99MB so I know it’s bigger than the limit on the import page. I have also tried the https://mt-export-split.wordpress.net a couple of times from a couple of browsers with no luck.

    Is there some way to split the wp.com file manually? Or does anyone have a solution. I’m ready to go but have no posts to show.

  • 2.99 should be fine. Are you getting some sort of error or what? You don’t mention what is occuring.

    Contact your hosting service and ask them to change the setting. Make sure memory limit is higher than the default 8mb while their editing php.ini
