• I don’t much care when a software author advertises all over my site. I would like 100% full control over what is and is not allowed on my site.

After all, these are my resources, I pay for them, they cost me money, I work hard on branding my own service and I don’t like that any author should be allowed to intrusively advertise on my site.

That said, I do support open source software, have been pushing it since the early 90’s so it’s not like I want to use and never give back. We have always given back by spending countless hours helping others to learn about and to use software such as WP and many others.

Please, give me the option to advertise things on my site, DON’T simply take my resources as that is not appreciated.

How can I turn this off so that users do not see it?

    Thank you.

  • Limit a user’s Role and Capabilities, instruct Authors this is not allowed (and if they do their account will be terminated), and then force each post to be approved.

    Hi,

I’m not sure what you mean? I was asking about the wordpress.com ads on my site. I think it’s probably related to jetpack.

Jetpack is nice but it’s a bit much to maintain in a MU site so if it’s also going to advertise to our users, I’m not liking it.
