WordPress.com to www.ads-software.com Domain Transfer Waiting

  • Hello!

    I am transferring my site from .com to .org.
    I registered through BlueHost and I am currently waiting for domain approval. When the domain is approved, will it automatically direct to the .org site? I do not know how to access the .org site and import content and my new theme. It keeps directing me to my current .com site. I want to make sure when the domain transfer is complete it is not getting directed to an empty site. I have a site with a lot of traffic and that would not be good for my business.

    That depends on how BlueHost handles the transfer. Ideally, they’ll automatically change the name server for you, but they don’t have to (and sometimes that would be the wrong assumption for them to make).

    You’ll need to contact BlueHost for details.
