Words disappear after adding Featured Image

    Whenever I add a Featured Image in a page (specifically, the static page) all the words in the page disappear.
    I can get the words to reappear by selecting “black” color for the letters,
    BUT
    characters, such as bullet points and other list items remain invisible.
    I’d like to be able to add Featured Images without losing my content. :/

    Only the Static Page causes the Featured Image to hide the words. ??

    I’ve decided to correct this by having one post on the Front Page. I’ve gotten rid of the Static Page altogether. It’s working pretty well now.
