• In the “blog stats” window on the “global dashboard,” one post of mine keeps showing a title I didn’t write. The title is “[Blah blah] global cooling,” but the window often–but not always–shows “[Blah blah] the follower.” Refresh the page and it reverts to the original. Nowhere in anything I wrote, ever, did I write “the follower.” What the heck is this?

Yeah, but it’s happening on my self-hosted blog as well. Sometimes they show up correctly. Sometimes they don’t.

By “self host,” do you mean self-installed, self-maintained, etc? If so IT IS a self-hosted account. What about my question suggested otherwise?

the words “global dashboard” people are used to associating that with wordpress.com

If you you are using the WP-Stats plugin then even in your own “self-hosted” stand alone WP dashboard you will have a link to the “global dashboard” to see your stats stored at wp.com.

What are the links to the posts that show up as “the follower”? Post them here, perhaps something got inserted in your blog without you knowing about it.

Good question, Otto42. I don’t see “the follower” now, but when I did I think I tried it once and the link was normal.
