Errors such as this one often occur because you’ve reached the maximum number of API calls Twitter allows per hour. This is even more likely if you’re on a shared server. You may try re-installing WordTwit and seeing if you can add a Twitter account. If that fails, wait about an hour (just in case it was the API issue above) and see if you can add a Twitter account then.

Other settings to check in your Twitter app:
    — Be sure to specify a Callback Url
    — Be sure to the application type to “Read and Write”

Now it simply won’t tweet my posts. I’ve uninstalled and re-installed it and still doesn’t work anymore.

By the way, the post above refers to my other site.

I’m still getting the same error on the first one after uninstalling and re-installing it and specifying a Callback URL and made the application “Read And Write”:

Unable to obtain authorization URL from Twitter.
Please make sure your server time is accurate or adjust the OAuth Time Offset below.
If problem persists, visit the support forums and report your problem

Please get back to me as soon as possible! I really need to update my sites!

Do you have any caching plugins installed that may be serving older versions of your site information? If so, be sure to clear them as well as your browser cache before retesting. To be certain, you may want to manually remove cache files via ftp.

Did you create a new Twitter app using your new Twitter account? If you de-authorized your first Twitter account, all its functionality will have been disabled as well.

If those suggestions don’t solve it, there may be a conflict with another of your installed plugins. Have you installed anything new recently? Deactivate all plugins except WordTwit then test if you’re able to add your new account.

Hello! My awesome host was able to fix it!

Thanks for your assistance! And many thanks for this awesome plugin! Much better than WP to Twitter!
