    Hi,

    I was using Wordfence Central to control all my websites but now it doesn’t seems to connect to any of them. All my websites were marked in the Connection Issues tab.

    I tried to force reconnection but it didn’t work so I deleted them and tried to add them again. The platform returns me the following error everytime: “Unable to communicate with Wordfence plugin. Please verify Wordfence is installed and activated on this site.”

    All my websites seems to be active on the site side.

    Hi @jtotheme, thanks for reaching out to us!

    Head over to Wordfence Central, go to the Connection Issues tab. Clear out any sites that might be in here.

    Now head over to your site and log in as an admin. Navigate to Tools > Diagnostics > Other Tests > Clear all Wordfence Central connection data. Clear the connection data and then from the Wordfence Dashboard, click on “Connect this site” in the Wordfence Central widget.

    https://www.wordfence.com/help/central/connect/#troubleshooting-connection-issues also has some troubleshooting steps you could follow.

    Let me know if you’ve tried all of the approaches there and are still having trouble connecting.

    Peter.

    Hi,

    I already tried to clear the data connection but with no luck.

    Other than that, I already did the following:
    – Checked REST API and can confirm that it is enabled;
    – Checked admin ajax – Its working;
    – Deactivated all plugins except Wordfence;
    – Fully removed wAF and installed again;
    – Created another .htaccess;
    – Whitelisted Wordfence IPs in .htaccess;
    – Checked file and folder permissions;

    All without success.. Any idea what it could be?

    Hi @jtotheme,

    I think it’s best considering how thorough you’ve been to troubleshoot the issue to drop a diagnostic report over so that I can check for configuration/connection issues with the site in question and also look up your Wordfence Central user just in case there are any problems that can be fixed from our end.

    Send the diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com by finding the link at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

    NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    Thanks again,

    Peter.

    Hi @jtotheme,

    There seem to be no connectivity issues either inbound or outbound on your site although from your email address and site address on the diagnostic I can’t seem to identify a Central account to attempt a manual connection myself. I’ve tried your forum username, too.

    Could you please message me the email address and username that you use to connect to Wordfence Central to the wftest @ wordfence . com address, making sure to include your forum username in the subject so that I can easily find it?

    Thanks again,

    Peter.

    Hi @jtotheme,

    I have attempted to access your REST API endpoint, which works and in addition to your site diagnostic connections looking OK, it is also possible to access your default WordPress login page. In short, everything I’d normally look for to be wrong seems to be correct so the cause of the Central connection issue isn’t clear.

    I attempted to add the site manually and indeed we can’t get a connection in. I have seen cases where something else the host controls may not be affected by your own whitelist. You or your host might need to check some settings described here, or in ModSecurity: https://docs.litespeedtech.com/cp/cpanel/antiddos/

    Can I also confirm if your site is also using the noabort code as highlighted in our setup documentation?: https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/system-requirements/litespeed/

    Thanks again,

    Peter.
