I’m not sure if it was the CF Geo upgrade or the recent WordPress upgrade, but something REALLY weird is happening. Originally I was using the shortcode [cfgeo_address]. After the upgrades it stopped working. Only the tag %%address%% works now.

    What changed?

I also noticed that all of a sudden, it’s giving me inaccurate info. I tested my popup yesterday, and one one browser it said I was in Gastonia NC (which is correct) but in another it said London England. If it gave the next town over, that might have been ok, but an entirely different country?

the url is mercertcscom, the element in question is the location info popup.

    Hello,

Did you review your settings after the update? It would be good to review them and save again.

Do you use a caching plugin? I see you are using a GPS module. Can you turn it off and try without it?

You need to know that the IP address not gives an exact location in all cases and if your ISP comes from another city in some cases it shows that city. Especially if you use a mobile phone, then the accuracy can be up to 1000km difference.

The version 8.x.x of the plugin has been completely modified, optimized and adapted to new versions of WordPress, but sometimes problems occur. We work every day on debugging and corrections.

If the problem persists, contact me at [email protected] to we can give you direct support.
