• Greetings!
I am setting up a handful of blogs to be used at work. In our situation, we always have someone proofread and revise our posts before we actually publish them.

Therefore, I would like to know if there is any way (by default or with the use of a plug-in) to set up a workflow of sorts.

Basically, I would like users to be able to “publish” posts created by other users, but I do not want them to be able to “publish” their own posts. In our situation, we basically use the concept of “proofreading buddies”, where person A will be responsible for proofreading the work of person B and vice versa. Therefore, both of them will need to have the ability to publish posts (as person B will need to publish the posts of person A and vice versa).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • I’d like to have something like this too. Something to prevent someone from publishing something unless it’s been proofread would be awesome. It’d also be fine if you could just have some sort of dropdown that’d say if it “needs to be proofread”, “good to publish”, etc.

    EDIT:
Scratch that. I forgot there is a “Pending Review” status in 2.7. It would still be nice though for there to be some plugin to not allow someone to publish their own article unless it’s been proofread.

My main problem is that there are three of us, and one of us will proofread the others posts before the post is published. The current way WordPress is setup is to have one person be the editor who can publish, and the others can’t publish. I don’t want that as I want everybody to be able to publish. I just want to ensure that it’s proofread first before it is made public.
