Working also in category view

    Hi Aldo

    I selected the field “Quando si visualizza un articolo singolo, preleva gli articoli dalla categoria corrente” in english “When I view in single post, select only current category”

    I see that this plugin with this special field, work only in the single post. Is it possible to have the same functioning for the category page?

    Ciao Carlo,
    nella versione 4.6 troverai un nuovo pannello per attivare e configurare questa opzione. Il pannello si chiamerà “Cambia la query nelle pagine di archivio” e sarà molto simile al precedente “Cambia la query negli articoli singoli”.

    In pratica, quando ci si trova in una pagina di archivio di una categoria, di un tag o di un autore, il widget potrà mostrare gli articoli di quella tassonomia o di quell’autore.

    è una buona idea, la tua, per cui l’ho già implementata nel ramo di sviluppo. Spero di poter rilasciare a giorni la versione definitiva, dopo i dovuti test.

    Fammi sapere se è questo che cercavi.

    P.S. Dallo screenshot mi sono accorto che devo cambiare alcune stringhe! ??

    Thanks a lot for the reply. Good to know that in the next patch this functionality will be available.
    One last question, in the list of related post created by your plugin, the link of the post does not contains always the name of the current category but sometimes in the permalink of the post appear another category of the same post. This maybe is cause by the function the_permalink() of wordpress that return the first category of the post ordered by ID.
    There is a way to show all the permalink of the related post in the currect way?

    Example: i’m in a page/article of category_A. In the sidebar widget with your plugin i show all related post of category_A. All posts are showed correctly but in the link, some posts have …../category/category_A/article1… and some posts have …../category/category_B/article1…that’s probably because the function the_permalink() return category_B as the category of the post because is the higher ID category.

    There is a way to fix this and show all the permalink of the related post in the currect way?

    Hope that’s is clear my question and the situation. If not clear I can explain better with screenshots.

    In my development blog I wrote the post How Posts in Sidebar chooses the main category of the post about this behavior. You should find the complete answer there. Spoiler: there is already an option in the widget for this.
