Working, but now I get an error

I finally got the Subscribe2 plugin and widget working on my blog. I now come to find out that when new people try to subscribe to the blog they can an error message instead of a confirmation message.
When I go into my subscribers the new people I added as a test show up red instead of black like the emails that were entered previously and worked correctly.
