Seems to be working fine with DIVI Theme! I imagine it should also work if you are using the free Divi Builder with a different theme or your own, but I’m using YARPP the full fat Divi Theme.

Before I had a Divi Blog Grid module displaying 3 recent posts with an offset of 1 (so it didn’t duplicate the same post they were being displayed on) but they were always the same 3 posts, kind of boring.

I found this plug-in in the Divi Support FAQ and thought I’d try it. It works much better and now provides actual relevant content. Why Elegant Themes has never done this themselves or come to an arragent with YARPP to utilise their code, I’ve no idea but it works. Divi seem content to not release any modules for their builder and let the community do it.

So I’m using the Thumbnails option method with the shortcode and it works great placed in a simple Divi Code Block. It just generates a thumbnail (up to 6 in my case) with a title below each one and of course, the whole thumbnail links to the relevant content. I haven’t figured out how to show any meta below each one as in some of the examples on the plug-in details. It does offer to add some templates to the theme so you can use the PHP option, but I’m wary of doing that as I’m not using a child theme and there is no way to see what they are in advance.

It would be great to see some more shortcodes that could be used in other various DIVI modules blocks so that you could make use of them like the Blog Grid module and the Blurb modules. Perhaps the list option could be used in a Text module to display a list of URLs, that might be useful but I haven’t tried that yet.

Above all, this is a recommended plug-in for DIVI users and so works well.
