working in agenda.php

I have used the shortcode to display a list of posts by category on this page. https://memdesignsclients.com/rci_a/lectures/winter-2013/

I am using the Vortex theme.

I want to remove two things from the view:

1) the View and Categories dropdowns and button bar below them at the top of the agenda; and

2) The Read More bar at the bottom of each post.

I know I have done this successfully before, and I believe it was through changing the agenda.php file, but nothing is working now.

In what file(s) and where are these being called?
