Working with Elementor

I created a custom image size and a custom Elementor single post template with that image size. When I go to crop the feature image, the new size is there and I can crop it. When I hit “save” nothing happens (have to manually exit) then I update, clear my cache, regenerate thumbnails etc and it’s not showing on the front end. I checked uploads folder and it’s saved as a thumbnail, so why isn’t it showing? Does it have anything to do with me using Elementor as the page builder?
