Working with EXISTING tables
-
Hi there. I have built a new WordPress site using content from an older HTML site. This site contains a
- lot of data in a table
. I copied the HTML source code directly into the new WordPress page (In text view). This worked well and looks great. However, unless you know HTML, it is difficult for the end user (my customer) to know how to make some basic edits, such as add or delete a row or column.
In my searches I have found some good plugins for ADDING tables, such as TABLEPRESS, but it cannot edit tables that are already on the site. I tried to convert my existing HTML into CSV and then re-importing into TABLEPRESS but this did not work as well as expected.
What I’m hoping or is to find (or have one of you suggest) a plugin that can work with EXISTING tables. For example, in “Visual View” of the page it would be nice to simply insert your mouse in an existing row and click on an icon in the toolbar that would be to simply insert a row. Or right-click in an existing row and have a context menu popup allowing me to add or delete rows and / or columns.
So, I’m hoping something like this may already exist? Please let me know if you are aware of any.
Thank you ??
Abe
