Working with images – storage – etc

  • I’ve started a site that at the moment shows only images. Each page has a set of images in the form of a WP gallery.

    This has given me a few problems, not least when some images got lost. I had hoped that I could uploads replacment images. This works but not for the thumnails. Here I need a way to regenerate all the thumnails ?

    Another issue is I now have over 15,000 images in my uploads folder. As far as the server is concerned that’s not problem but to WP media, FTP and cpanel this makes browser either slow or impossible. Here I would like all the image seperated into folders that perhaps represent the category the posts are in, if not for each post.
