• The plugin does simply, what it has to do.
Looks like the Name of the JPG-File doesn’t matter. And that’s the right thing to me, because the filename will allways be the same, only the file changes every minute.
I would like to have the option to insert date and time into the photo, maybe in the right-bottom corner.
In my WordPress-Theme “Hemingway” it may cause a Problem with the Format “Paragraph”. If I set the text [reactwebcam] to this Format, the footer-widget will fill the whole page and you cannot see the Webcam-photo.

Thank you for your review and comments.

Yes, the filename doesn’t matter, the plugin just displays the latest image in the directory. But the filename should be timestamped. Otherwise the image won’t update without page refresh as the browser will consider it unchaged.

Displaying a date and time is one of the features which can be implemented in the future. I have it implemented for one of my customers, but it’s not part of the plugin as it needs to be more generic for that.

If you have trouble with styling you have to change CSS of your theme. This plugin just provides just the image as <img> tag wrapped in <div id="webcam">.
