• I tested a file which was compressed to 98.4 kB by the GIMP. I ran it through the Optimus plugin and it shrank to 82.5 kB with no visible loss in quality. I tried the same file with TinyPNG.com and obtained a 71.8 kB file, but it had a noticeable drop in quality.

I’m now trying to become a customer by buying one of the paid services, but it keeps serving an error :/ The free product does work well though, so hopefully the paid one will be just as good … once I manage to actually pay for it.

This shouldn’t optional IMO. I think this should be the default functionality. It just adds an unnecessary extra checkbox to the UI and reduces security when it’s not turned on.

I thought of one more thing … I haven’t done a complete code audit, but what I did read of the code indicated to me that the rest of it was probably of good quality. Many of these types of plugins have very low code quality.
