Works as advertised

  • My client has not yet added SSL to their site, so when I upgraded to WordPress 5.7 with default lazy loading, the srcset attribute got added to image tags with https protocols which broke the image links.

    I installed the Disable Lazy Load plugin and the problem disappeared. We still need to add SSL to the site, but for now the images have come back.
