Works, but you may need to change a line in the code

Search the code for force_ssl_login (you’ll find it in the core.php file line 559) and change this to force_ssl_admin.

According to the errors you’ll find if you enable wp debug mode force_ssl_login was depreciated with WordPress 4.4 and should simply be replaced with force_ssl_admin. While I can’t verify that it’s working exactly as intended now (I can only take other folks word for this) at the very least it cleaned up all the crazy amount of debug warnings and errors I was getting and the backend seems a tad faster.
