• Previously: This plugin has a definite use and purpose, which it does well. However, it has a very annoying compatibility issue, with the WordPress SEO Plugin, which both developers refuses to address.

I don’t know for sure, who fixed what, but this plugin works great and has been working consistently since the last update.

  • What exactly is the issue? I want to use this plugin but also use Yoast SEO

Yoast SEO has had a few updates since then. The OP described his original problem at https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/complete-stoppage-of-redirection-1?replies=1

I haven’t seen anyone else report the problem so there may have been other plugins that were being affected by the Yoast update that interfered with the redirection.

I wasn’t just getting this issue on one WordPress installation, but three separate installations, on two different hosts using completely different plugin sets.

I was also able to test it on a vanilla WordPress install, with only Simple URLs and Yoast’s WordPress SEO installed, with the same issues.

However, after several updates to WordPress SEO, I no longer see this issue.

FYI: I haven’t changed the plugin configuration, on the first website this issue popped up on [ link redacted, please do not post links in the reviews section ], since I first noticed the issue, other than to update the plugins and Genesis as updates came available.

    So…

The issue must have been resolved in one of the several WordPress SEO updates.
