Works nicely but slows down WP admin

I installed this plugin a few months ago, together with the official AMP plugin. I really like the functionality, better than its competitor Glue from Yoast.
Unfortunately after migrating to WP 4.5 this plugin makes my WP terribly slow – I tested all my plugins one by one and the issue is definitely linked to this one. So I had to remove it and evrything works well now.
