works only for uploaded image not smaller subs

  • When you upload an image – most custom themes have add_image_size in various sizes based on the full-sized image uploaded – and sometimes, depending on client, themes may not even use the full sized image at all. The problem is that all the sub images created by WP/server don’t get optimized and that’s a big problem.

    Is there a way to work these being optimized into the plugin flow?

    The Smush.it plugin automatically process all sizes for a given WP image. If you really want to see this you can go to Settings > Media and enable the Smush.it debug mode. Then go to Media > Bulk Smush.it to see the output.

    that it does. wasn’t getting updated to all of ours tho… i’m assuming the bulk smush failed on WPE.. they have a large media library. I’ll have to go media page by media page I suppose.
