• I am the developer for an agency that develops about 25 client websites in WordPress, and we use this plugin as our primary backup/migration solution. Yes there have been some bugs here and there, but they consistently update the plugin, and recently we have had no issues on any of the sites.

We purchased the unlimited extension, which does exactly what it’s supposed to, and we purchased the Amazon S3 extension, which enables us to have all our websites automatically perform backups and save them to S3.

I also use the migration element to migrate a website from production into a staging site on my local machine, run updates on the local copy and check for errors, and then easily migrate the site back up to production. For all our sites (some of which are pushing 2GB in size and 500+ page requests per day), this plugin works well.

Oh, and support has been timely in helping me recover purchase IDs for extensions when I need them. All around, I’ve had a good experience with this plugin & its extensions in a variety of WordPress environments.

If you’re having issues with this plugin, or you read a review on here that says “DID NOT WORK!” or “I’m getting X kind of error”, then it’s almost definitely an issue with your site. You can’t blame this plugin for having trouble when your debug log is full of errors from other places that you’re ignoring.

The four stars instead of five is because I think the unlimited plugin is a bit annoying. It doesn’t add a feature, it just removes a limitation, which is a really annoying pricing model in my opinion.
