• My adventure with WordPress began after volunteering to create a website for an orphanage in Central America. Not knowing where to start to build a site, I turned to YouTube. The video taught me how to create a site, but it would not work on mobile devices. I tried the Adaptive Images plugin, but it did not work. I ran its diagnostic and sent it to the developer, who promptly replied with instructions of what needed to be done by me and what needed to be done by the web host. After making the appropriate changes, the website still would not work on mobile devices. I contacted the developer again, but did not receive a reply for nearly a week. The eventual reply stated that he was on vacation and would be returning by August 20, 2018. On the exact date of his return, he got on it and examined the settings and found that I was using an unnecessary sub-directory and that by changing the redirect, the problem would be eliminated. Sure enough, the simple fix took care of it. It turns out that all of the problems were due to my inexperience with WP, not the plugin. Living in a small town that borders the jungle in Central America, I was grateful that a developer in Greece was willing to spend time getting to the bottom of the issue and was able to find the appropriate solution. Hat’s off to a job well done! He gave exemplary customer service. I congratulate the developer for a plugin that works, which I strongly recommend for anyone having problems with their website not properly sizing their images for display on mobile devices.
