• This did the job well, thanks.

However using it is painful. I was importing many images from an existing site, they were spread across the usual /uploads/year/month pattern. I had to go to each individual directory and upload them. Why not be able to select /uploads and it will do them all.

Then when doing them by directory, some had dozens of images, I first had to scroll to the bottom after selecting them all at the top, then after importing there was a list of each individual file success message before I could go to the parent directory and repeat the process.

Painful and so easy to fix by adding a submit button and directory tree navigation at the top of the page.

This plugin was built back in 2008 to import singular files to your install, when the browser upload tool would fail.
The plugin is not designed for, and should not be used for, importing of existing sites – you’ll just cause yourself far more pain in the long run by doing so.
