Works with Sell Media Plugin – A lifesaver!

  • I’m really impressed that I was able to bulk update Keywords on Sell Media Items. Note that this is a custom taxonomy on a custom post type. Impressive! Even the Sell Media plugin authors said “Nope, you cannot bulk-upload keywords”

    I got the WSOD a few times, which might scare some WP noobs (like the bloke who gave it one star), but this was expected as I was updating 4000 items. Not enough to warrant anything less than 5 stars.

    I can’t tell what version you’re reviewing, but it should be possible to work around the WSOD issue with the latest version. Not as user friendly as I’d like, but possible by restricting the number of rows and/or restricting the number of columns.

    Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with Sell Media Plugin.

    I am using the latest version (1.4.4) with WP-3.7.1. There are almost 4000 rows and just 2 columns (id and keywords). However, each row has a list of up to 12 keywords and the total number of keywords is around 10,000. I found that processing around 500 rows at a time worked perfectly.

    Ok, thanks for the details. Definitely want to improve on that. 8+ imports/exports would get a bit tedious. Just a matter of finding time for a full rewrite.
