Works with Simply Static

  • Works with 4.8.1 and Simply Static.

    I tried 4 other XML sitemap generators including Yoast all of which threw up errors after generating the static files and submitting to Google Search Console.

    But this one worked perfectly.

    On the con side:
    I think it automatically pinged Google and Bing when I installed it, which I didn’t want because that install is my development area, I use Simply Static to generate my static file site somewhere else.

    And as someone else mentioned it uses a non standard filename, what’s wrong with sitemap.xml?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback.
    We will look at a feature so the first ping doesn’t happen straight away.

    As for sitemap.xml.
    We found people had various plugins and ended up with conflicts so we went for a variation to try and avoid this. We are looking at if this can be added a configuration option.
