Worpress 2.7 – Some things are better left untouched!

I don’t know if you have all managed to get WP2.7 to work fine for you but I did! Well I thought I did… it all started OK after my update from 2.6.5 and I was able to post to my blog without problems, then I tried to do it from my iPhone, and it didn’t work saying that there was a problem with the “XML-RPC publishing protocols”. Weird, because it was there and active.

I reinstalled some plugins through the install plugin in the Cpanel, and corrected some typos in some of my old post.

Couple of days later when I tried to publish something new I was surprised to find out that I could not attach a picture anymore. The download to the uploads folder is fine, but the creation of the thumbnails is not happening.

Then it all went downhill from there…

At this point here are the things that are not working on my blog anymore:

– publish with iPhone or any other program using XML-RPC publishing protocols
– Visual editor is not working anymore I get HTML in the Visual
– Permalink only works in Default other settings give page not found
– Upload of any picture in Media gives an error message, download is fine but creation of preview and thumbnail fails (GD is fine because I use it with NextGEN Gallery and it works)

– Online Install new plugin page doesn’t display any result (“An unknown error occured” btw the error message has a typo: ‘occurred’)
– Dashboard collect RSS feeds when it wants (sometimes I get the feeds sometimes it’s empty)

It might all be from the same single issue somewhere on my blog (I hope so) but I don’t know what to do anymore. could it be something that my host has done??
