Worpress 4.3 customize options not loading due to Custom Sidebars

  • Hi,

    I have done some testing today as my worpress 4.3 new customize options were not loading.

    I guessed it would be a plug-in that was clashing – instinct went to caching but I have now isolated it down to custom sidebars as the culprit. I have checked and re-checked this.

    Is anyone else experiencing this? I can work around things by disabling the plug-in when I want to work in admin using that new 4.3 option but thought it best to put it out there.

    I am running the graphene theme.

    How are you doing today?

    I’ve tested this on my sandbox site and I wasn’t able to recreate the issue. Appearance -> Customize is working without any issues with WordPress 4.3, Graphene theme and Custom Sidebars.

    I’m assuming this could be a conflict between Custom Sidebars and some other plugin that you’re using so can you please test with only Custom Sidebars activated to see if that will change anything?

    Hi,

    I’ve got the same problem after I updated my WordPress to version 4.3.1

    In my configuration I installed four plugins.
    Everything works fine unless I activate custom sidebars.

    If I deactivate all plugins except custom sidebars the customize options won’t load.
    If I deactivate custom sidebars the customize options work.

    Even though I tested this above I double checked this just to make sure. With Custom Sidebars activated I’m not having any issues loading Customize options.

    This might be related to the theme that you’re using. Can you try switching theme to one of the default WordPress themes and then try to access Customize.

    Thank you for your fast response.
    I’ve checked it. If I switch the theme the customize options are working.

    The theme I’m using is called “Academica Pro”.

    I saw that my WPZOOM – Framework is not up-to-date

    → Your version: 1.3.9

    → Remote version: 1.4.8

    I will do the update and report the result here.

    I did the update but it didn’t solve the problem.

    Academica ProVersion: 1.0.5
    WPZOOM 1.4.8
    Wordpress 4.3.1

    I’m assuming Academica Pro is a premium theme so it is not possible for me to confirm this.
